SUNDAY 6 OCTOBER
BWSC OPEN DAY @ THE WATERFRONT
Celebrate the first day of BWSC Week in Darwin at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct with family activities, science and tech fun and more.
From 8am-9am you can participate in a family-friendly yoga session, and then throughout the day enjoy giant games, jumping castles, face painting and more. Get to know more about the BWSC by building your own mini solar car, and checking out our solar car display! PLUS:

Territory Wildlife Park native animal encounter
Questacon Byte Wise Exhibitions
Build your own solar car, boat or robot!

MONDAY 7 OCTOBER - FRIDAY 11 OCTOBER
This is the ultimate chance to see the inner workings of some of the world's most advanced solar cars! During Static Scrutineering, the official BWSC teams must undergo a review of the car that they've built by the esteemed BWSC faculty and officials. They car will be pulled apart to be inspected, and ensured that it is roadworthy, safe, and abides by regulations.
This is the perfect activity for lovers of science and all things tech, and you can get a look at the whole thing!
WHEN: Monday 7 October - Friday 11 October, 8am - 6pm each day.

MONDAY 7 OCTOBER - SATURDAY 12 OCTOBER

SATURDAY 12 OCTOBER
Before they set off from Darwin, the BWSC teams will take a hot lap around Hidden Valley to put their cars through their paces, and establish the starting order for the Challenge!
You can have a look through the team garages, and chat to the team memembers who come from all over the world, before you cheer them on as they race around the track!

SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER
OFFICIAL EVENT START LINE
The moment the teams have been working towards for nearly 2 years is right in the heart of Darwin - the Official Event Start Line at State Square!
Nearly 50 solar cars will set off from Darwin to start their 3,000km journey to Adelaide, and you can see them all set off. There'll be plenty of activity and fun around the place, so don't miss this iconic Darwin event!
The Start Line Official commences at 8.30am, with the cars leaving one after another until approximately 9.30am.
Please note, the Solar Cars will leave the city via Tiger Brennan Drive - for those wanting to wave to the cars from the road!

SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER - FRIDAY 18 OCTOBER
BWSC CONTROL STOPS
Along the way from Darwin to Adelaide, each team must stop at the official control stops along the route to record their time, and to rest their driver. This is a great chance for locals to get out and get up close to the cars and teams, see how exciting and quick the arrivals are, and cheer them on as they set off again.
The BWSC goes remote, so if you're nearby one of these great Outback communities make sure to get out and see the BWSC pass through your town!

OFFICIAL CITY OF ADELAIDE FINISH LINE
After 3000kms the BWSC teams will arrive in Adelaide, and cross the finish line in Victoria Square. It's an unforgettable sight to see, as the teams pop their champagne bottles and celebrate the conclusion of their journey.
Check out the teams as they cross the finish line, and then get a closer look at their cars once they've arrived. Plus, there'll be other activities to check out around the Finish Line:
- Check out Questacon's travelling exhibition Byte Wise on the south side of the Square, with computer science mathematics challenges for you to enjoy!
- Build your own solar powered boat, car or even robot!
- The Bridgestone Hub will feature a display of this year's Bridgestone Photo Competition Finalists, with coffee also available in the Hub
- Grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks on site - Squid Squad, Wafflestix, Zorba's Yiros and Bread & Meat Co. Food Trucks are open from 9am - 5pm each day.
- Take a ride on a Beam Scooter
- Check out Flinders University's awesome Autonomus Bus!
