Why does your team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?

The University of Michigan Solar Car Team was founded in 1989 and has competed in 11 World Solar Challenges ever since. We are driven by the competitive spirit of the event to design, build, test, and race an incredibly fast and efficient solar vehicle. The team is also driven by the competition's commitment to clean and renewable energy. It inspires students to test the limits of what is possible with solar technology and what they can achieve.
