How many times has your team participated in the event?

Our team has participated in the past seven events and won two times consecutively, in 2009 and 2011. This time will be our 8th battle and a chance to achieve victory once more.

What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?

We have examined all parts of the car since the last competition and did some modifications on the new vehicle. On this opportunity, we constructed a new design based on the theme of evolution. New ideas are established by altering the previous ones.

What is unique about your solar car?

Our model has greatly improved in lightness and aerodynamic performance. Using Japan's latest technology, it is designed through repeated aerodynamic tests. Furthermore, most recent advancements, such as strong and lightweight construction, minimum rolling resistance, tires, high-efficiency motors, and more, are utilized in this 2019 model.

Why does your team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?

The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is a big opportunity for us. Aside from developing Japan's technology, it is also a chance for us to prove ourselves as students. We aim to improve Japan's technology and challenge future students to do more.

What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?

We look forward to challenging the best teams in the world and heat up the competition.
