How many times has your team participated in the event?

This is the first time for us, and we are the first Moroccan team to participate in the BWSC.

What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?

Our Eleadora 2 is designed to be as light and strong as possible. It is a safe and environmentally friendly car, capable of competing with some of the best solar cars in the world.

What is unique about your solar car?

Our solar car has some customized parts, such as the suspension and the rims. The body of the car has been produced in collaboration with an aerospace company, in order to ensure it’s going to be as light and strong as possible. What makes Eleadora 2 more unique for us is the teamwork we put into it, especially when we produced the model of the car ourselves in our workshop.

Why does your team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?

We have the ambition to become a leading team in Africa by bringing colors of our country’s flag and presenting the entire African continent in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, as it is the most famous solar car competition. The BWSC pushes us to seek bigger level goals and motivates us to work hard and challenge ourselves while envisaging an equitable and sustainable world where everyone uses and promotes renewable energies.

What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?

We are excited to have the experience of travelling through the Australian outback and competing with smart engineering students from around the world. We are also looking forward to meeting members from different solar teams and exchanging experiences with them.
