Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2027
The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is the world’s leading innovation and engineering competition. Established in 1987, it is a 3,000-kilometre endurance journey held biennially, where teams from across the globe compete to be the first to cross the finish line in vehicles powered by renewable energy. In 2027, the event will celebrate its 40-year anniversary, marking four decades of pioneering sustainable mobility and global collaboration.
The team behind the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge looks forward to welcoming media with a passion for unique adventure, environmental storytelling, STEM, renewable energy, climate action, sport and tourism to the Northern Territory and South Australia.
