How many times has your team participated in the event?
We have participated one time in 2019.
What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?
We have seen the bullet shape as having enormous potential and believe it to be a strong basis for future projects. This car has better aerodynamics than our prior 2019 design, which results in a more robust, long-lasting, and reliable structure.
What is unique about your solar car?
What sets our car, Sven, apart is its distinctive aspect of being designed, tested, and manufactured on a notably limited budget. The team has faced the challenge of seeking innovative solutions to achieve a high-quality outcome, with every component crafted in-house at HUST. Despite being newcomers to the competition, our cars exhibit a marked and evident progression, and we take pride in showcasing a meticulously developed vehicle, despite the circumstances.
Why does your team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?
Engaging in the competition presents an excellent chance for us, the students, to unite as a team with a shared vision. We view it as an expedition that demands collaboration, extensive knowledge, and skills, where fostering friendship is crucial in building a successful and distinctive non-profit project. Undertaking a project of such magnitude is truly remarkable, and BWSC empowers these teams to thrive and forge pathways for a more sustainable future.
What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?
The competition is an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, eager to discuss our unique circumstances and learn from each other. We are looking forward to the experience of maneuvering our car in a competitive setting while also enjoying the chance to discover Australia's unique landscape while competing.
