What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?
Our 4th iteration Solar Car takes a design philosophy that seeks to find harmony amongst all elements of car resulting in a culmination of trade offs and optimisations. Most notably, the titled array seeks to provide better stability and increase solar efficiency. Whilst straight line performance gains are compromised, gains are sought in performance under cross winds and a stronger basis for dynamics of the the car.
What is unique about your solar car?
This year we will be showcasing some of Australia's finest technology on our 4th iteration Solar Car. In collaboration with Sundrive Australia we be utilising their innovative copper Heterojunction (HJT) Solar Cells to provide maximum efficiency to our array. The team will also be debuting it's in house battery management system (BMS) as we seek to optimise electrical efficiency and improve safety management features.

Competing in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge provides us with a platform that allows our team to push boundaries, foster diverse perspectives, share knowledge and champion eco-friendly solutions.
What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?
As an Australian based team, we're excited to welcome all our friends from around the world who will be competing in the competition. They can expect some great snags and vegemite shared by the team along with a competitive game of cricket in the pits as we share some of Australia's finest culture with them.
