    About The Team

We have participated once in 2023 and the upcoming competition will be our second participation.
SNU SOLO refers to a vehicle leading the road to the sun. As our ultimate goal is to "Show our Originality and Leap Over the limits," we have been working to represent sustainable energy through optimal engineering, leading business, and original design. We believe the development of the eco-friendly automobile industry is essential for the upcoming generation amid climate change. Thus, we would like to deliver an optimistic overview of solar car technology and share our goal of a sustainable future, as well as raise awareness of the global climate and energy crisis. Through our vehicle and work, we hope to foster greater societal interest in a sustainable future through the emerging industry of solar-powered vehicles.
Our solar car represents the collaboration of traditional manufacturing skills and newly developed artificial intelligence technology. We have optimized the design to minimize energy consumption and aerodynamic drag for efficient energy use. We are proud to introduce our car, a competitive vehicle with stability, high speed, and energy efficiency, ensuring safe driving in harsh conditions. Our engineers have been working to stabilize and apply an AI system for co-pilot assistance. Moreover, the AI system will be able to propose efficient operational strategies, such as weather and environmental analysis and speed optimization.
We value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge as it offers the opportunity to apply our engineering skills to real-world solutions and contribute to the development of sustainable mobility. As one of the most prestigious solar car technology competitions in the world, this challenge urges us to be creative, innovate, and push the boundaries of efficiency, design, and teamwork. Apart from the technical aspects, we are eagerly waiting to engage with teams around the world who share a common interest in green technology. We are confident that exchanging ideas with various cultures and disciplines will not only enrich our thinking but also drive new ideas towards solar-powered transportation.
Australia, known for its gorgeous, spectacular, and stunning nature provides the perfect backdrop as we drive across its desert from Darwin to Adelaide. We are eager to witness the breathtaking scenery while testing our solar car in one of the world’s most challenging environments, pushing the limits of technology and sustainability.
