99: Solis UTCN

Solis participated at Bridgestone World Solar Challenge only once, in 2023.

Solis is a solar vehicle designed for maximum speed and efficiency. With our design, we tried to create the most lightweight and aerodynamic vehicle we have built so far. The signature Solis blue was chosen to reinforce our brand identity and leave a lasting impression.

As mentioned previously, our competition vehicle is the most performant one built by our team so far, especially in terms of energy management and efficiency. With a record energy consumption, Solis brings us closer to our goal as a team: promoting sustainable engineering and power usage.

Since our first ever solar vehicle competition in 2021, our purpose as a team has been to promote performance and sustainability, and prove that talented and dedicated students can make Romania proud. The opportunity to participate in Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2025 gives us both the greatest shot at fulfilling our mission and also help us show the world that it is indeed possible.

Participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge offers us a unique glimpse into a different world, strengthens our team, and expands our knowledge of global solar technologies. It’s an incredible opportunity for learning, growth, and teamwork. And of course, we cannot forget about the kangaroos.
