    About The Team

For this team it's the first time. Archimede is a newly formed team, just over a year old.
The philosophy of this solar car is born from the union between sustainability, innovation and performance, in a project that focuses on efficiency and vision for the future. The entire body is covered with high-efficiency solar panels, while the extremely aerodynamic design minimizes consumption. The structure, made with lightweight and advanced materials, such as carbon fiber and aluminium, guarantees strength and lightness, essential for maximizing autonomy. The vehicle is completely self-sufficient and powered only by the sun, designed not only for competition, but as a scalable and modular model, ready to inspire the technologies of future road cars. Not just technology: this car is also a "design object," harmonious and clean in its forms, where beauty merges with functionality. A project that demonstrates how aesthetics can coexist with sustainable engineering.
This car is the fruit of the passion and determination of a team of young people, who have transformed dreams and skills into a bold and innovative project, ready to challenge international competitions such as the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. Powered only by the sun's energy, thanks to high-efficiency photovoltaic panels precisely integrated into the bodywork, the car combines an aerodynamic design with lightweight and resistant materials, managed by an intelligent system that optimizes every single watt in real time. But what makes it truly special is its soul visible in its shapes: fluid, almost dancing lines, shaped by the wind and caressed by the light. A car that does more than just run: it tells, inspires, embodies an idea of the future where technology and beauty travel together, towards the horizon.
Our team views participation in the *Bridgestone World Solar Challenge* (BWSC) as a strategic opportunity that is essential to our technological and industrial growth trajectory. Taking on an ambitious task that allows us to test our developed engineering solutions in real-world settings, gather valuable data for the project's evolution, and confront a challenging situation. Competition is a powerful force for innovation because it pushes us to overcome our limitations, develop proprietary knowledge, and come up with solutions that have tangible market value, all the way to the industrialization of our future. According to Archimede Srl, the BWSC is much more than a race: it is a test bench, a mission, and a change accelerator that will help us achieve a more sustainable future by drawing on our land and the talent of the young people who live there. Being a part of the BWSC also means getting access to a highly regarded international certification, which will help us build our credibility as an innovative startup, attract investments, and negotiate partnerships with major players in the global automotive, renewable energy, and sustainable mobility sectors.
One of the things our team looks forward to most during our trip to Australia is the chance to participate in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge: not just a competition, but a global celebration of innovation, sustainability and human ingenuity. Crossing the Australian Outback isn’t just testing our technology; it’s facing one of the harshest and most inhospitable environments on the planet — a fascinating battle between human intelligence and the unyielding power of nature. It’s in this challenge where every sunbeam counts that we want to grow, learn and represent our vision of a cleaner and more sustainable future, powered by solar energy and driven by passion.
