    About The Team

Solaride III marks our second entry into the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. We also competed in BWSC 2023 and won third place in Cruiser class.
Our guiding principles are safety, reliability, efficiency and practicality. We engineered Solaride III to handle the extreme conditions of the Australian outback, ensuring durability and performance. Efficiency is also critical; every aspect of the car is designed to minimize energy losses and maximize solar power utilization. While designing Solaride III we put even more emphasis into practicality and interior design, making sure that our passengers will always feel as comfortable and safe as possible.
Solaride brings together students from six Estonian top universities. This diverse collaboration allows us to integrate expertise from various fields, fostering innovation and excellence. By combining knowledge in engineering, design, and business, we develop a cutting-edge solar car that pushes the boundaries of efficiency and sustainability, preparing the next generation of talent for the future of mobility.
The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is the ultimate proving ground for solar-powered vehicles. It allows us to test Solaride III against the world’s best teams, gain invaluable experience, and push the limits of sustainable engineering.
Our team looks forward to experiencing Australia’s stunning landscapes firsthand. Driving Solaride III across the iconic outback will be an unforgettable test of both engineering and endurance in real-world conditions.
