    About The Team

The Innoptus Solar Team has participated in the Bridgestone World Challenge since 2004, taking part a total of 9 times. The 2025 event will mark our 10th participation!
The Belgian Solar Car is designed on three core principles: reliability, innovation and efficiency. Evolving regulations drive us to innovate smarter and faster. Nevertheless, the Innoptus Solar Team remains committed to going further. With every breakthrough, we strive to contribute to a greener, more sustainable future—inspiring and accelerating the shift toward sustainable mobility.
Our solar car is uniquely inspired by nature, integrating advanced technology co-developed with our Belgian and international partners. By designing and building every component ourselves, we ensure complete control over the production process, optimizing efficiency and minimizing weight. Backed by 20 years of experience through a strong alumni network, we harness this knowledge to push boundaries. Our car’s innovations remain secret until the race, providing a strategic advantage.
Participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is an opportunity of a lifetime for our team. One of the most valuable aspects is witnessing the innovations and technological advancements made by other teams, which inspire us to push our own limits and refine our strategies. The strong competition and limited time force us to continuously reinvent ourselves, maximizing our learning curve. It’s also a chance to showcase Belgian technology on a global stage, proving the potential of our innovations. Racing with the solar car we built with passion and dedication is the ultimate reward for our hard work.
Meeting the other teams who share our Solar Spirit, discovering their solar cars, and competing with them across the unique Australian landscape—with, of course, the ultimate goal: crossing the finish line in Adelaide!
