About The Team
How many times has your team participated in the event?
Sunswift has participated in the BWSC 12 times, and has been in the cruiser class since its inception.
What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?
Sunswift 7 takes a focus on achieving efficiency through holistic optimisation, taking time and effort to ensure our mechanical, electrical, and solar systems use advanced technology.
What is unique about your solar car?
Our car takes the cruiser class' vision of a roadworthy car very seriously and prioritises practicality. A sleek design with a drag coefficient of 0.095 and rolling resistance of 0.1 also shows immense mechanical efficiency.
Why does youre team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?
The BWSC is an excellent opportunity for Sunswift to show off our project and technological developments. As we step forward to develop a road-legal solar car, the challenge provides an opportunity for us to test new technologies that can advance electrical vehicle development as a whole.
What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?
As an Australian team, we love meeting international engineering students to compare and learn from each other. Its refreshing to see everyone's excitement and willingness to showcase high quality engineering during the event!
